Earlier this month a drunk driver hit two La Quinta High School students riding their bikes in Southern California near Palm Springs. One boy survived and the other, identified as 14-year-old Liam Cantu, died of his injuries this week. The drunk driver, identified as 47-year-old Jose Villegas Orbe, fled the scene after he crashed his vehicle into the two biking boys. KESQ reported: Liam Cantu, a 14-year-old La Quinta High School freshman, has died in the hospital after being struck by a drunk driver, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Cantu was one of two teens riding their bikes on Highway 111 in La Quinta when a driver, later identified as 47-year-old Jose Villegas Orbe of Palm Springs, fled the scene. Authorities said the other teen victim has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. Villegasorbe is now facing charges including vehicular manslaughter, DUI, hit-and-run and probation violation. It turns out that Villegas Orbe is not a Palm Springs man. On Friday, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin revealed that Jose Villegas Orbe is an illegal alien “Jose Abelardo Villegas-Orbe, a Mexican national, is now charged with vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI hit and run causing death after he allegedly killed 14-year-old La Quinta High School freshman student Liam Cantu while he was riding his bike on October 10th. Cantu died in the hospital this week. Police say Villegas-Orbe fled the scene,” Fox News reported. In 2024, Villegas-Orbe got two DUIs in a span of just three months, but because DUI arrests are misdemeanors, he escaped immigration enforcement. “Sources tell me that Villegas-Orbe was arrested for DUIs in August 2024 and November 2024, both in Riverside County, CA, but because the DUI arrests were misdemeanors, they did not meet Biden admin immigration enforcement priorities and ICE detainers weren’t filed at the time, meaning Biden’s ICE made no effort to arrest or take custody of him,” Bill Melugin reported.  Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson was back in court on Monday as Judge Tony Graf ruled on whether he may appear in court in civilian clothing. Judge Graf ruled that Tyler Robinson may appear in court in civilian clothing for his trial given the presumption of innocence, however, he said Robinson must appear in restraints. The judge also ruled that the media may not photograph or record Tyler Robinson entering or exiting the courthouse. Robinson, 22, has three public defenders: Kathy Nester, Michael Burt, and Richard Novak. Tyler Robinson did not appear via video in Monday’s hearing, however when the judge asked if he could hear him, Robinson responded, “Yes, I can.” The judge ordered Robinson back in court on January 16, 2026 and January 30, 2026. President Trump on Monday signed an executive order designating Antifa a domestic terrorist organization. “Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law. It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide to accomplish these goals,” Trump’s executive order read. In March, President Trump fired both Democrat commissioners at the FTC. “President Donald J. Trump is the head of the executive branch and is vested with all of the executive power in our government. I have no doubts about his constitutional authority to remove Commissioners, which is necessary to ensure democratic accountability for our government. The Federal Trade Commission will continue its tireless work to protect consumers, lower prices, and police anticompetitive behavior,” Andrew Ferguson, Chairman of the FTC, said in a statement. “I wish Commissioners Slaughter and Bedoya well, and I thank them for their service,” he added. Shortly after the firing, they both sued to get their jobs back. In July, a federal judge rehired the Democrat FTC Commissioner who was fired by President Trump earlier this year. US District Judge Loren AliKhan, a Biden appointee, said President Trump’s firing of Rebecca Kelly Slaughter, the Democrat FTC Commissioner, was illegal. The Trump Administration promptly appealed the order. Earlier this month, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, stacked with Obama judges, citing the century-old Supreme Court decision Humphrey’s Executor, ruled that Rebecca Slaughter can remain at her job after Trump fired her.

 More left-wing political violence. A leftist ripped down a North Carolina business owner’s Trump banner and tried to kill him. On September 6, a deranged leftist pulled over his vehicle and ripped down a pro-Trump banner hanging on a sign near one of the business owner’s buses. Mark Thomas, the owner of Paddle Inn Rafting Company, said he saw the suspect on surveillance video rip down the Trump banner, so he went outside and fired his rifle as a warning. “He walked up to the sign. When he stood up at the sign I though ‘I can’t believe this’,” Thomas said told Fox Carolina . “I watched him until he reached up and pulled the sign down. It’s just a shock.” “I let him know that somebody’s watching him and didn’t appreciate it,” Thomas added. The suspect is then caught on surveillance video sticking a firearm out of the sunroof of a green Jeep Grand Cherokee and firing toward Mark Thomas. As previously reported, a 21-year-old intern for Republican Representative Ron Estes of Kansas was killed in late June in Washington, D.C.. Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, 21, who was a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, was shot and killed in Northwest Washington, D.C. Police reported that the shooting occurred around 10:28 pm when a group of unidentified suspects fired shots at Tarpinian-Jachym and two others, which included a 16-year-old male and an adult female. ABC News reported that investigators have stated the shooting was targeted, but Tarpinian-Jachym was not the intended target. Two 17-year-olds were arrested for the murder of Eric Tarpinian-Jachym.  Five House Republicans helped Democrats kill a motion to censure Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver (NJ) on Wednesday. GOP Congressman Clay Higgins forced a censure vote on LaMonica McIver after she was charged with assaulting federal agents at an ICE facility in May. Every Democrat, with the help of five insufferable Republicans, killed the motion. The five Republican lawmakers included: Don Bacon, Mike Flood, Dave Joyce, Mike Turner and David Valadao. Politico reported : Some House Republicans joined every Democrat in voting to sink an effort to censure Rep. LaMonica McIver over her involvement in a chaotic May scuffle outside an immigration detention center. Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) forced the vote to formally reprimand McIver and remove her from her position on the House Homeland Security Committee, a handful of his GOP colleagues had little appetite for moving forward with the punishment. Five Republicans — Reps. Last week Julie Felss Masino, the woke Cracker Barrel CEO sparked a major backlash after changing the company's beloved logo. She claimed the public just loved the new Cracker Barrel logo and redesign of the restaurant. The new interior of Cracker Barrel looks cold and sterile – not like the original comfy and cozy vibe.
